The Founder's Vision
Vediyappan, the managing director of Discovery Book Palace, noticed a deep dearth in Tamil reading habits while living in Chennai. He believed Tamil literature deserved a dedicated space — not just for buying books, but for celebrating them.

On the first floor of our store is Jeyakanthan Kudil — named after the celebrated Tamil author Jeyakanthan. This open hall seats 50–80 members and is the venue for book launches, author discussions, literary debates, and writing workshops.
